Everyone has dreams and aspirations which they hope to achieve in life. But, two of the most important factors when achieving success in every aspect of life is drive and determination. Two factors of which the Kingswood Blues FC possesses. They are truly an inspiring group of youngsters. How they began, their drive, and determination is astounding. Well done to Kingswood Blues from @ketracommunity on being crowned our National #Kickoffat3 Community Cup Champions 2020
These are some exceptional times right now, and it is heartening Kingswood Estate Community has come together to support of one another.
At Ketra we recognise that this period can be a challenging time for some families, which is why we are determined to ensure that everyone has a happy, memorable break.
KETRA’s foodbank is a newly established local Foodbank set up during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic to address the issue of food poverty in our community. They supported over 500 residents on our Estate – (Kingswood Estate, Dulwich SE21) and the surrounding area during the lockdown.
We give food, support and advice to Kingswood Estate Residents. Each person is given an emergency donation of food (enough for 3 days) and the help they need to resolve the food crisis. All food is donated to us by the community – schools, churches, individuals, businesses and at supermarket collections. We believe that emergency food support is only the first step in someone’s journey out of crisis.
Please donate to KETRA’S foodbank. Thank you
We always need donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries. From a few cans to an office food collection. We appreciate every donation given, as it goes a long way in making a difference in the lives of families who are confronted to face severe hunger, a drastic shortage of food in their homes due to dire circumstances they’re experiencing.
If you would like to donate please contact us via the contact form so we can arrange for someone to be present to collect. The warehouse is open for food donations on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm.
We cannot accept opened or out of date items, fresh food, alcoholic drinks or medicine.
These items will be thrown away. Please only give as you would like to receive.
At the moment, our most needed items are:
Rice (1kg, not boil in the bag rice)
Curry sauces / other cooking sauces (not pasta sauce)
Female deodorant (we have male deodorant)
We know that not everyone has the time to volunteer with us or organise a food collection. You can help us support people in crisis by donating money today.
Kingswood estate community celebrated their carnival. The variation in races celebrating and embracing their differences was breathtaking. This community is full of colour, love, laughter, great food, amazing dancers, and a list that could go on forever.
Thank you KETRA for yet another wonderful experience, spreading much love in our community.
Moments on horseback are like scenes from a movie where the stars rides off into the sunset. Horseback ride is a fun experience and it has an adventurousness to it. It offers freedom, movement, and makes amazing feats of athleticism possible.
KETRA certainly gave the kids in Kingswood estate a thrilling experience with horses as they galloped safely across the open fields.
