KETRA’s foodbank is a newly established local Foodbank set up during the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic to address the issue of food poverty in our community. They supported over 500 residents on our Estate – (Kingswood Estate, Dulwich SE21) and the surrounding area during the lockdown.

We give food, support and advice to Kingswood Estate Residents. Each person is given an emergency donation of food (enough for 3 days) and the help they need to resolve the food crisis. All food is donated to us by the community – schools, churches, individuals, businesses and at supermarket collections. We believe that emergency food support is only the first step in someone’s journey out of crisis.

Please donate to KETRA’S foodbank. Thank you

We always need donations of non-perishable food items and toiletries. From a few cans to an office food collection. We appreciate every donation given, as it goes a long way in making a difference in the lives of families who are confronted to face severe hunger, a drastic shortage of food in their homes due to dire circumstances they’re experiencing.

If you would like to donate please contact us via the contact form so we can arrange for someone to be present to collect. The warehouse is open for food donations on Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9am – 12pm and 2pm – 4pm.

We cannot accept opened or out of date items, fresh food, alcoholic drinks or medicine.
These items will be thrown away. Please only give as you would like to receive.

At the moment, our most needed items are:

Honey
Jam
Rice (1kg, not boil in the bag rice)
Tinned fish
Vegetable soup
Curry sauces / other cooking sauces (not pasta sauce)
Tinned vegetables
Hot chocolate
Shower gel
Female deodorant (we have male deodorant)
Baby wipes

We know that not everyone has the time to volunteer with us or organise a food collection. You can help us support people in crisis by donating money today.
